CHTOUKA DESALINATION PLANT. AGADIR (MOROCCO)
The construction of the Chtouka Desalination Plant in Agadir (Morocco) began in 2018 promoted by the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water of Morocco (ONEE) to alleviate the water stress endured by the region and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the area, ensuring the supply of drinking water both for human consumption and for agricultural irrigation. ABENGOA, as a main contractor, subcontracted the sea outfalls excavation by means of the pipe jacking with closed shield tunnel boring machine AVN to EUROHINCA.
